Every page here helps you decide, and this page explains how the pages are made. It describes our method, so you can judge how far to rely on it.

How are the pages researched?

When a page states a rule, a date or a figure, it names a public source and the date we opened it. Examples are aviation authority pages for drones, venue guidelines for filming rules and the text of the Personal Data Protection Act for privacy.

A point without a source is written as a question to confirm with your venue, your organiser or the authority concerned.

How are the pages written and reviewed?

Pages are published in the voice of our team. Drafts are written with AI assistance from a written brief for each page. Each draft then passes automated checks for sources, links, wording and length, and a language review so the English, Bahasa Melayu and Chinese versions each read naturally.

How are examples labelled?

Worked examples show how to think through a decision. They are marked as examples or illustrations, and any money figure in them is marked as an assumption.

How are the planning tools made?

The tools on this site use deterministic rules: fixed steps written out in advance, so the same inputs always give the same result. The rules are tested against worked examples before a tool goes live.

Results are planning aids. They help you prepare a brief, a budget or a checklist to bring to the conversation with us. You can see each tool’s assumptions on its own page. Start from the tools overview.

What are the limits of the advice?

The guides are planning help. Drones, livestreaming, same-day edits and captions are available on request, and each is confirmed for your event. Your venue, your organiser and the authorities set the rules that apply on the day. For a legal question about your event, ask a qualified adviser.

How do you report an error?

Message us on WhatsApp through the contact page and say which page and which line. We check it against the source and update the page when it needs correcting.
