Booking event videography across Malaysia

Your event is outside the big cities, and you want to know early if we can be there.

Share your date and area, and we will suggest coverage and confirm what is possible.

In short

  • This website explains how to plan filming anywhere in Malaysia.
  • Availability is confirmed for each event, once we know the date, venue, hours and outputs.
  • Region names can mislead. Check the real venue address, not the label.
  • An enquiry never reserves a date. A booking is confirmed after scope and terms are agreed.

Planning information applies across the country, but availability is decided one event at a time. This site shows you how to plan filming in any state. Whether a crew is free for your date and venue, we confirm after you send the details.

What this site covers and what we confirm

The guides explain how to plan, brief and compare event video anywhere in Malaysia. Dates and crews are checked separately, for each event.

Malaysia has 13 states and 3 federal territories (DOSM). We film events across the country.

Why a place name is not enough

A label such as “Langkawi” or “Cyberjaya” tells us the area, but not where your crew must stand. The real venue, the route and the programme times decide the plan. A few examples of how labels mislead:

  • Langkawi is in Kedah (LADA), so the trip is an island trip, not a northern city job.
  • Penang has the island and the Seberang Perai mainland (Penang state portal). “Penang” may mean either side.
  • Cyberjaya falls under the Sepang Municipal Council in Selangor (MP Sepang).
  • Genting Highlands resort addresses are in Pahang (Resorts World Genting).

So give the exact venue and town. If your event moves between places, list each one. Our guide on filming across a city and its surrounding districts shows how to check this.

What changes the plan outside the main cities

Different places raise different questions. These are the ones worth settling early:

  1. Travel: how the crew and equipment get there, and whether an overnight stay is needed.
  2. Access: when the crew can enter, where they can set up, and who at the venue approves it.
  3. Crew: how far the crew travels, and what that means for the plan. See local crew or travelling crew.
  4. Dates: public holidays and busy weekends affect availability. See public holidays and peak dates.
  5. Weather and backups: what happens if the programme moves indoors. See weather planning.

For islands, and for crews travelling between the Peninsula and Sabah or Sarawak, there are separate guides: island events with limited transport windows and travelling between Peninsular and East Malaysia.

What to send so we can check quickly

A rough plan is enough. Send what you know:

  • The date, or the dates you are considering.
  • The venue name and town.
  • The programme times and any parts that happen at the same time.
  • The videos you want: a highlight film, full recordings, short clips or something else.
  • Who approves the video on your side.

If the venue is hard to find on a map, add a pin or the nearest landmark. It saves a round of messages and helps us check the route sooner.

The brief builder turns these into one readable note. The outstation budget worksheet helps you track travel items once quotes come in.

What happens next

Tell us the venue and date, and we confirm the crew and travel. Then we send a quote built from the scope, as described on our pricing page. For the full range of what we film, see our event videography service.

Send the date, the venue name and the town. That is enough for us to check your date and place, and to tell you what still needs confirming.

Questions people ask

Do you film in every state in Malaysia?
Yes, we film events across Malaysia. Send the date and venue and we check that event first, since availability is decided one event at a time.
Does sending an enquiry hold my date?
No. An enquiry only starts the conversation. A date is held when the scope and terms are agreed and the booking is confirmed. If the date is fixed, say so in your first message so we can check it early.
Will the crew be confirmed before I book?
Yes. Once we know your venue and date, we confirm the crew and travel for your event before you confirm the booking, so the day holds no surprises.
What should I send for a quote?
The date, venue and town, the programme times, what you want delivered, and who decides on your side. A rough plan is fine. The brief builder on this site can help you put it in order.
Is there an extra charge for places outside the city?
Travel can be part of the quote when a crew has to move. We list it in the quote with the other scope items, so you can compare it clearly.
