In short
- Manjung is a district of seven towns, not a single venue area, so name the town as well as the venue.
- Seri Manjung is the district seat and Sitiawan is the largest town.
- Lumut and Pangkor are in the district too, but have their own planning pages.
- Malay, Chinese and Indian communities are all present, so plan languages at each stop.
Manjung is a district on the Perak coast made up of seven towns: Seri Manjung, Lumut, Sitiawan, Ayer Tawar, Pantai Remis, Changkat Keruning and Beruas. It includes Pangkor Island.
Which Manjung town is your event in?
| Town | What is there | Where to read more |
|---|---|---|
| Seri Manjung | The district seat and the council office | This page |
| Sitiawan | The largest town, with the 3D Art Gallery Sitiawan | This page |
| Lumut | The ferry gateway, Lumut Waterfront and the naval base | Lumut |
| Pangkor Island | Beaches, resorts and the island ferry crossing | Pangkor |
Each town has different venues, parking and crowds, so a Manjung enquiry starts with the town name.
What events happen across the district?
Family weddings and thanksgiving gatherings use halls, restaurants and homes. Temple events follow the temple committee’s own order of ceremony. Community and company gatherings use halls and hotels. A village event may be at a kampung hall or a farm rather than a hotel, so give us the exact address.
What changes the plan in Manjung?
The council area. The Manjung Municipal Council, Majlis Perbandaran Manjung, runs the district from Seri Manjung. For a public space, ask the council or the venue manager what notice filming needs.
Languages. Bumiputera, Chinese and Indian residents all live here, so a day may mix languages. Tell us who speaks at each stop, then use the caption and language planner to decide on captions or translated subtitles.
Roads. The Ipoh-Lumut Highway and the West Coast Expressway serve the district, and buses run from the Seri Manjung and Lumut stations. Guests coming from Ipoh should plan their own travel time, and we plan the crew’s arrival around the first ceremony.
What we confirm for your Manjung event
- The town and the exact venue, and whether the day moves between towns.
- Who gives permission: a temple committee, a hall manager, the council or the organiser.
- Which languages are spoken at each stop.
- Whether the group also crosses to Pangkor, and if so, which jetty.
Tell us the venue and date, and we confirm the crew and travel for Manjung. The guide on filming across several nearby venues helps when the day covers more than one town. The Perak overview covers the whole state, Ipoh is the nearest city, and our event videography service page explains what we film.
Send us the town, the venue and the date, and we confirm the crew and travel for Manjung.
