Kuantan is the capital of Pahang, on the east coast. Most events here fall into three settings: hotel ballrooms, campus halls and the beach. Each one changes how we film.
Which hotel halls do Kuantan events use?
Beach resorts and city hotels host most dinners, weddings and seminars. For example, Swiss-Garden Beach Resort Kuantan lists Hibiscus Hall, a semi-circular ballroom seating 500 theatre-style, and Casuarina Hall for 180. Other hotels in the city have their own halls, so ask each one.
A ballroom is about sound and camera positions. Ask the hotel:
- Is there a spare audio output near the stage?
- Where may cameras stand, and when can we load in?
- Can the screens be recorded cleanly, or do they flicker on camera?

What does the flood season change in Kuantan?
This is the local fact that most affects a plan here. The second wave of floods in December 2025 began on 16 December, and Kuantan was the worst-hit district, with nearly 10,000 people in relief centres at the peak.
For a date between November and March, ask the venue three things: how it copes with heavy rain, whether the road in stays open, and what the indoor option is for an outdoor moment. Tell us before we plan the shots. The weather planning guide lists what to agree.
What changes on the beach?
Open-air speeches by the sea are hard to record clearly. We usually plan close microphones for the speakers. Read outdoor event audio and wind and filming a beach or island event.
